Srinagar: Police along with the Army apprehended a hybrid militant and his associate in the Pakharpora area of Budgam district on Friday.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said that the duo has been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Bhat and his associate Yawer Maqbool Ganai.
The statement reads that a preliminary investigation revealed that the duo was operating with TRF in Pakherpora area. “From their possession, arms & ammunition including a pistol, pistol magazine, 9 rounds and other incriminating material were recovered.”
It added that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.
