A Kashmiri Hajj pilgrim has accused an Indian Airlines Captain of assaulting him at Jeddah International Ariport after passing derogatory remarks.
According to local news agency, KNS, Saleem Aijaz Nazi of Bijbehra, Islamabad said he had boarded the scheduled flight in Jeddah International Airport on Sunday to return home after performing hajj, when the incident happened.
“I was ill and was not able to stand for a long time and sat one of the seats in the flight as there was no seat number given to the pilgrims. As I sat on the seat captain Suri without any reason or provocation assaulted me and used filthy words against me”, said Nazi.
“You Kashmiris are performing Hajj without paying any fee from your own pocket, you are mad and deserve such kind of treatment’, Naazi quoted Suri as having told him in an insulting manner.
Naazi said that his religious feelings got hurted and tears came in his eyes when the Suri spoke against the Islam and Hajj. “I have wrote the complaint against the Suri to the Hajj Committee Srinagar’, said Nazi.
KNS quoting the sources in the Hajj Committee Srinagar said that the committee has forwarded the complaint to Hajj Committee of India and to the State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for necessary action.
