SRINAGAR: It was their third wedding function and it was in Delhi at the residence of Tina Dabi, the IAS 2016 topper, who married Mattan boy Athar Amin Khan, the second topper. They both serve Rajasthan.

Reports in media suggest that those attending the function included Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Reports put the function as “grand”.

The groom wore golden sherwani with fetching pagdi and the bride was seen dressed in wine-coloured lehanga and golden dupatta. The group photograph with the couple and their parents was uploaded by Vice President on his official twitter. “Attending the wedding of Ms. Tina Dabi and Mr. Athar Amir Khan, in New Delhi, today,” the tweet said. “Blessed and conveyed best wishes to the newly wedded couple.”

This is their third wedding function of the IAS couple. They had taken marriage vows at a simple court ceremony in Jaipur. Later, they drove to Pahalgam in Kashmir for a destination wedding and now the third function took place at bride’s place in Delhi.

Khan is a resident of south Kashmir village of Devipora in Mattan and Dabi is from Delhi. Khan is a Muslim and Dabi is a Dalit. The love story started from the laws of the Home Ministry and took three years to reach the logical conclusion.
