A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held on Sunday at Police post-Delina area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Dysp HQ’s Baramulla Owais Wani chaired the meeting in presence of SHO Baramulla and Army Major 52RR Delina, a spokesperson said.

Divisional officer Police post-Delina Mohammad Ashraf was also present in the meeting in which elderly people of the area were also present, he added.

He also said that the aim of the meeting was to strengthen relations with public and also to establish the first-hand contact with masses.

The participants in the meeting highlighted various issues of public importance like eradicating drug menace, drug addiction & some issues related to civil administration especially the scarcity of drinking water, electricity and also raised their demand for Fire & Emergency Services in the area, a spokesperson said.

The participants appreciated the role of DO Delina Mohammad Ashraf in curbing the social crimes in the area, he added.

Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants Dysp HQ’s Baramulla Owais Wani assured them that the issues pertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority. He also sought the cooperation of participants in fighting social crimes.
