Srinagar: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a road by suspected militants in Zahid Bagh village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district exploded on Friday morning, resulting in damage to an army vehicle, locals said.

A police source said that militants triggered the IED, planted in the middle of the road, in Zahid Bagh village early morning on Friday.

He said that the blast caused minor damage to the army vehicle.

He added there was no loss of life or injury to anyone.

Locals said that they heard a loud explosion, triggering panic in the area.
