Police claimed that unknown militants had planted an IED in an agricultural field near a passengers shed at Hanjipora crossing, in Mir Bazaar Kulgam. However, the IED was timely detected by Police, 9-RR and 163 BN CRPF.
A team of Bomb Disposal Squad later destroyed the planted IED without causing any harm. A police statement said that after registering a case in this regard investigation has been started.
