Police found and defused an IED in Parimpora area just after an hour the chief minister, Omar Abdullah used the road to return from Tangmarag on Tuesday.

Police sources told Kashmir Life that a petrol party of paramilitary forces detected an IED fitted under a small bridge on Srinagar Baramulla highway near HMT crossing. They added that the chief minister had gone early in the morning to Tangmarag and an hour after his return from the same road, the IED was detected.

The bomb disposal squad was immediately called who defused the IED in the presence of police and forces officials. Police has claimed that it averted a measure accident by detecting the IED in time.
