SRINAGAR: Security forces on Friday evening recovered and destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) during an anti-terror operation in the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
Officials said joint teams of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, with assistance from intelligence agencies, conducted the operation in the Thungwali area of Kandi, where an old militant hideout was located.
An IED was recovered during searches at the site and subsequently destroyed in a controlled explosion.
