IEI Jammu Kashmir State Centre Launches Special Membership Drive

   

SRINAGAR: The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu Kashmir State Centre (IEI–JKSC) formally launched its Special Membership Drive on Saturday with a flag-off ceremony held at the IEI auditorium in Church Lane, Sonwar, Srinagar.

The event began with a welcome address by Honorary Secretary Er. Irfan Ahmad Reshi, MIE, who also delivered a detailed presentation outlining the objectives, benefits, and outreach plans of the initiative. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests who highlighted the importance of engineering collaboration, professional growth, and collective technical excellence.

IEI–JKSC Chairman, Er. Ferdous Ahad Bhat, FIE, alongside senior members, unveiled the campaign banner and stressed the strategic significance of expanding membership to unify engineers across multiple disciplines under a recognised professional body.

A felicitation ceremony was held for individuals who recently submitted their membership applications, while on-the-spot registrations enabled new aspirants to join the Institution during the event.

The programme concluded with an interactive QA session and a Vote of Thanks by Er. Reshi, who reaffirmed IEI–JKSC’s commitment to fostering an ethically driven and progressive engineering community in the region.

IEI–JKSC stated that the Special Membership Drive aims to strengthen its base, enhance knowledge-sharing, and support engineers in achieving higher technical standards and national relevance.
