SRINAGAR
Ghulam Ahmad Rather, 85, father-in-law of Abdul Ghani Mir, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir passed away on Monday after a brief spell of illness.
The funeral prayers of Late Rather were held at his ancestral village Ruhu in Islamabad district where his body was laid to rest.
All sections of society including different political parties, police department, civil society members, socio-religious organization besides management and editorial board of Kashmir News Service have expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
