SRINAGAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, VK Birdi, on Monday promoted 511 police officials of the Kashmir Zone to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
The promotions followed recommendations by the Departmental Promotion Committee, which assessed the eligibility of Head Constables for elevation. IGP Kashmir also approved in-situ grade promotions for six additional officials who completed the required period of satisfactory service.
Congratulating the promoted officials and their families, IGP Birdi expressed hope that they will continue to serve with dedication, contributing to peace and law and order across Jammu and Kashmir.
