SRINAGAR: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar on Wednesday visited Bandipora and reviewed the district’s security situation, law and order preparedness and crime scenario.
Kumar, accompanied by DIG North Kashmir Range Vinod Kumar, chaired a review meeting at the District Police Lines, where SSP Bandipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar briefed him on the overall security situation, counter-terrorism measures, intelligence inputs, area domination, security of vulnerable locations and crime-related issues.
The meeting was attended by the Additional SP and all Deputy SPs of the district.
During the meeting, Kumar stressed the need for strengthening public-friendly policing, improving crime disposal and enhancing operational preparedness according to field requirements.
He called upon police personnel to remain vigilant and ensure a prompt and effective response to emerging security and law and order challenges.
Kumar also appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the police personnel and urged them to continue discharging their duties with commitment towards ensuring the safety and security of the public.
