SRINAGAR: Anti-graft body Vigilance Organization Kashmir arrested Dr Abdul Rashid Dar the then BMO Kulgam and Mohammad Ashraf Parray the then senior assistant/cashier BMO office Kulgam in case related to allegations of illegal and unauthorised appointment of Class 4th employees and Junior Assistants at various Medical Blocks of District Anantnag and Kulgam.

Jailed

During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Dr Abdul Rashid Dar, BMO Kulgam and other officers/officials of Health Department in District Anantnag and Kulgam have entered into a criminal conspiracy among themselves and with the beneficiaries during the period 2003 to 2010. The accused public servants dishonestly, fraudulently and by abusing their respective official positions illegally allowed 22 private persons to join in the Health Department in different blocks on basis of fake and fabricated appointment/transfer orders and thereby extending undue benefit to private persons causing wrongful corresponding loss to the state exchequer.
