Illegal constructions are going unabated in Islamabad district, while authorities are acting as mute spectators and taking no action.

Illegal shops are being constructed by some miscreants in Bongi Nowgam area of Islamabad.

Locals while talking to Kashmir life said that, illegal shops are being constructed on government land about half km away from the main town Islamabad.

“The revenue officials have failed to stop these illegal constructions. It seems that they are hand in glove with the encroachers,” allege locals.

They said that these illegal constructions are being done by the influential people who have kept the concerned authorities silent.

The local court has put a stay on the construction of these “illegal” shops, but owners still violate the court order by constructing these shops, said locals.

When contacted the concerned Tehsildar said that, he will look into the matter.

“If these shops are constructed illegally, then they will be demolished after proper investigations,” he said .
