Islamabad Police seized nine logs of illicit timber in Achabal area of the district last evening, a police statement said on Monday.
According to the statement acting on specific information, Achabal Police intercepted a Tata load Carrier bearing registration number JK03A/9622 driven by Siraj Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Nabi Wani resident of Kothair at Nowgam and seized nine logs of timber.
The vehicle along with illicit timber was seized and the accused was arrested. Police Achabal has registered a case under section 379 RPC and 6 forest act in this regard.
