National Consumer Day was commemorated by Institute of Management, Public Administration (IMPA) and Rural Development (J&K IMPARD) Srinagar at a function in Srinagar on Tuesday.

IMPA celebrates National Consumer Day

On the occasion, songs and skits themed on Consumer Rights were performed besides a documentary on consumer awareness was screened which was made by KAS probationers who are undergoing their Phase-I training at the Institute.

Various placards prepared by the probationers were also put on display.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Director Trainings appreciated the efforts of Officer Trainees in commemorating the event.  He further implored them to always work for promoting and protecting the rights of consumers.

The event was organised as a humble contribution of the Institute in making citizens aware of common malpractices such as fake advertisements, poor quality goods and services, non-issuance of GST bills, e-commerce scams, and selling products beyond their date of expiry.
