Panic gripped Central Kashmir’s distrcit Budgam when Army troops at a check post fired at a vehicle Maruti 800 bearing number JKOIR-0321, killing two and injuring other two. Allegedly the vehicle jumped the inspection point. The dead are identified as Faizal and Mehraj while the two injured are Zahid and Shakeel.

According to police sources, soldiers of 53 RR at the check post in Chattergam area fired at the fleeing vehicle, which resulted in bullet injuries to four persons boarding the vehicle.

According to reports, army took four injured to army’s Base Hospital in Srinagar where two were declared brought dead, while the other two were reportedly battling for life in the hospital’s critical care facility. All four are said to be civilians.
