Crime Branch of JK Police Monday raided a Child Development Project Office and seized 86 quintals of expired food items.

A police statement said Mondaye evening, “on specific information regarding supply of expired food items to different Anganwari centers in the valley, Crime Branch Kashmir today conducted a raid at Child Development Project Office (ICDS) at Sheri Mohalla Narbal, Srinagar.”

The statement added that the Crime Branch team recovered 86 quintals of expired food items which included 46 quintals of Daliya and 40 quintals of Sooji.

It said that investigation into the matter has been taken up.
