To review the newly formulated Recruitment Policy, Jammu and Kashmir has formed a Cabinet Sub-Committe which will be headed by deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh.
Addressing a press conference at the end of Cabinet meeting held at civil secretariat here, state Education Minister, Naeem Akhter said that the Sub Committee shall look in to the objections raised by Governor NN Vohra and new changes will be incorporated in the recruitment policy.
The New Recruitment Policy announced by PDP-BJP government last month had come under severe criticism.
The government in its defence had said that the policy is just toi fulfill various posts vacant in government departments on ‘immediate basis’.
Under the New Recruitment Policy, the appointed employee has to give in seven years of contractual service after which he/she shall be regularised after ‘satisfactory’ period of service.
