People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti Thursday met Jammu based party leaders for the second consecutive day at party headquarters in Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Scores of party leaders including Zonal presidents arrived at Gandhi Nagar to meet party president.
Insiders told CNS that Mehbooba sought opinion and suggestions from these leaders on government formation.
“These leaders put forth their suggestions and opinions before Mehbooba Ji while she asked them to strengthen the party at grass root level,” a party leader from Jammu said.
He added that before taking any decision on government formation, Mehbooba wants to take every party leader on board. “Mehbooba Ji conveyed to workers that it is their party and they have to take it forward,” he said adding that the party president will continue to meet workers till she leaves for Srinagar.
