JK CM Mufti Muhammad Sayeed Friday said he assumed power in the state to “reconcile contradictions”.
Speaking at the birth centenary celebrations of late Congress leader Girdhari Lal Dogra at Jammu, Mufti said that he has taken power in the state to reconcile contradictions “and that is why I speak of the north and the south meeting each other”.
Already served as home minister of India in past, Mufti said, he has no “lure for power”.
Mufti pledged to ensure equitable development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions of the state and “to remove once and forever the misgivings between the three regions of the state”.
