PDP’s Youth President, Waheed Ur Rehman Para attended a Peace and Conflict Studies (PCS) Global Campus Program (GCP) at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), Japan.

Para is a member of Global Campus Program’s new research program at TUFS.

Para in a statement said that Prof Kenji Isezaki, Head of the Peace and Conflict Studies at The Graduate School of Global Studies TUFS, Japan in an invitation letter to him reads “that his participation in the meeting will greatly contribute to the program planning”.

With the objective of broadening the scale and scope of research and education on Peace and Conflict Studies [PCS] internationally, TUFS has taken an initiative for further developing worldwide academic collaboration.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PCS Global Campus Program [GCP] was launched in 2006 with the member universities that include: Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Japan; Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia; Kabul University, Afghanistan; Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, and University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Since then, the program was expanded with the inclusion of Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora-Jammu and Kashmir.

“In this back drop, TUFS in the current year-2015 initiated a new research program derived from GCP. In order to discuss the program’s implementation, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies hosted a meeting this month,” Para said.

Prof Kenji Isezaki, Head of the PCS at The Graduate School of Global Studies, invited him as a resource person to Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in “order to have his constructive ideas and to receive his advice for the program’s development”, the statement added.
