“It serves a bitter lesson for those officials and officers who for medals & material gains behave as more loyal than king,” said Hurriyat spokesman and added that these army personals under their notion of ‘’national interest’’ treat every Kashmiri including these police personnel as creatures and don’t feel shame or shy to inflict every type of brutality.

Spokesman while ridiculing the statement of former chief minister Omar Abdullah, wherein he has demanded punishment for erring army personnel, said that “these arrogant forces personnel even after committing act of murder, can’t be prosecuted because they enjoy license under the garb of ASPA & Disturbed Area Act.”

Spokesman reminded Omar Abdullah about an incident in year 1980 and said that when large contingent of forces personnel came out from Tattoo Ground and thrashed people to pulp and ransacked properties worth millions.

The spokesman said that at that time Late Sheikh Mohamad Abdullah was managing the state affairs, “but he could do nothing though no AFSPA like law was in force.”

Spokesman said that state is virtually reeling under martial law and hence in this lawless land no rule of law exists.
