Army Monday organized an Eid celebeartion with the children of Yateem Trust, Sulkoot, Kupwara, spokesman said.
Spokesman said “as part of its outreach programme, on the auspicious occasion of Eid the Indian Army at Kupwara organised an Eid celebration with the children of Yateem Trust, Sulkoot, Kupwara. Yateem Trust was established in 2001 and presently houses 55 orphan children of District Kupwara.”
Spokesman said General Officer Commanding, Vajr Division interacted with the children during the event.
Children of the Trust presented a spectacular cultural programme which included folk and patriotic songs.
Spokesman said the GOC emphasised on the importance of education and advised children to stay focused on the righteous path. He commended the efforts of the children and expressed his confidence in their contribution towards nation building and distributed gifts including sweets, stationery and sports kits to the children.
