SRINAGAR:  Khawaja Digar, a special prayer, was on Wednesday offered at the Naqashbandh Sahib (RA) shrine in Downtown with hundreds of devotees thronging the revered shrine for the congregational Asar Salah amid COVID-19 pandemic.

Khawaja Digar is offered on 3rd of Rabi-ul-Awal every year, which also marks the commemoration of the annual Urs of the saint of Naqashband. KL Image by Bilal Bahadur
The clerics in their address threw light on the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and asked the Ummah to follow Quran and Sunnah. They also threw light on the life of Hazrat Khwaja Baha-ud-Din Muhammad Naqshband Bukhrai (RA). Soon after the prayers, the local Imam of the shrine recited the Awraad-e-Asriya, a booklet comprising verses of repentance and faith. KL Image by Bilal Bahadur

Thousands of devotees had reached the shrine and they later offered prayers on the road stretch from Nowhatta to Khanyar while as the shrine management committee had laid the prayer mats on the road to avoid inconvenience to the people.KL Image By Bilal Bahadur
