Bizarre. It was written examination of Bsc nursing aspirants today and after waiting in hall for an hour or so, aspirants were denied the question paper and they left protesting without writing the paper.

According to aspirants what exactly happened is that after arriving at 2pm, the scheduled time for conduct of examination in Madre Meharban college at Soura, the aspirants received answer sheet in series and marked their attendance. Even at 3pm, there were no question papers in the hall. This led to chaos, stone pelting in which many aspirants were injured.

Zuhaib of Ashingto Bandipora whose roll number is 11XX after hearing noise outside his centre which housed around 2965 aspirants went outside to enquire, he found students  whose centre of examination was Genetic centre of SKIMS protesting against the ‘discretion’ as they alleged that aspirants in auditorium of SKIMS whose number is reported to be 35 were given question papers as per the schedule.

Zuhaib enquired from his invigilator and the response, ‘director of SKIMS has not come’. How this was related to career of 3000 students, Zuhaib is yet to find the answer.

Students alleged that few ‘blue eyed’ aspirants were given paper who were kept separate in auditorium while rest were denied.

When Kashmir Life contacted the official who is in know of things, he denied the charge and said,”as per my knowledge there was some error in printing.” “In order to maintain secrecy, we print papers on the exam day and there was some problem in getting them on time,” he added. Though the official further said that, “this should not have happened.” The official wishes to remain anonymous.

As told by aspirants, the examination date was notified on September 1 and the last date of submission was September 30. This was for the first time that boys were allowed to sit for the examination of this course  which till last year was only for girls.

Aspirants and their parents alleged that this was done to favour few and leave rest in lurch. They appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to personally intervene. Till the time something happens, they feel that ‘apathy towards them have rendered them loss of one year.”
