35 European members of Rotary Club—which believes advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service—are camped in Srinagar to “help flood-victims”.

The members who arrived in valley on Friday are presently interacting with people in SKICC.

Rotary Club members help build goodwill and peace in the world,” said one of its members. “It is a secular organization open to all people regardless of race, colour, creed, religion, gender, or political preference.”

There are 34,282 clubs and over 1.2 million members worldwide. The members of Rotary Clubs are known as Rotarians.

Rotary’s primary motto is “Service Above Self”.

Its secondary motto reads, “One profits most who serves best.”

Meanwhile, it is said that one of the ministers of CM Mufti’s cabinet shall be part of the function.
