SRINAGAR: The district administration in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district has ordered the closure of all government and private schools on Friday, July 31, due to prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The decision was communicated by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Poonch, through a circular issued on Thursday, following an advisory from the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Poonch.
The closure will apply to students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, with the measure taken as a precautionary step to ensure their safety and well-being amid the adverse weather.
All heads of educational institutions, Zonal Education Officers and private school managements have been instructed to strictly comply with the order.
