Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF) held a protest rally in Srinagar demanding both central and state government should openly condemn atrocities committed by Israel in Gaza.
JKDYF, activists shouted slogans and held placards against Israeli aggression in Gaza that claimed 169 lives including seven children. The protesters condemned Indian government for being silent on the plight of oppressed Gazan’s.
Interestingly, Israel is one of the major arms suppliers to India. There was no official statement condemning Israeli military aggression against civilians in Palestine from Indian government.
On the other hand Indian media has once again used self censorship while reporting the Israeli onslaught in Gaza.
JKDYF activists raised slogans against Ban Ki Moon, UN general secretary, for failing to rein in on Israel and end the war.
“We don’t want India should be having friendly relations with America and Israel,” Mohammad Afzal, President JKDYF.
