SRINAGAR: The armies of India and Pakistan on Sunday exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Keran sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Army’s Srinagar based spokesman Colonel  Rajesh Kalia in a statement said that on June 7, 2020, at about 12: 40 pm pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation (CFV) along the LoC in Keran.

“The soldiers manning the fence also responded the fire strongly,” he said.

However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side.

Earlier, cross LoC firing was started in Rampur sector of Uri sector of Baramulla district.
