A Flag Meeting at Brigade Commanders’ level was held between India and Pakistan from 11:30 to 12:50 AM on January 17, at the Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point near Poonch.

According to efence sources the delegations were led by Brigadier level officers and discussed various issues related to the cease fire agreement as well as the need to improve responsiveness of existing communication channels.

They said that the Indian Army’s concerns about the infiltration attempt in the Krishna Ghati Sector in the current month were conveyed in strong terms to the Pakistan delegation.

“The talks were held in a cordial environment and both sides have agreed to give due consideration to the issues raised by the other side,” defence sources said adding “This meeting  is another step forward in the confidence building measures agreed to by both sides during the DGMOs’ level talk held at WAGAH in the month of December.
