SRINAGAR: An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning, prompting full security checks at Delhi airport before the aircraft was cleared for operation, as per multiple media reports.
Flight 6E 762, carrying approximately 200 passengers, was operated on an Airbus A321 neo.
An IndiGo spokesperson as per NDTV report said, “Following the established protocol, we informed the relevant authorities immediately and fully cooperated with them in carrying out the necessary security checks before the aircraft was cleared for operations.”
The source also confirmed that a full emergency was declared upon the flight’s arrival at Delhi airport. Flight tracking data shows the aircraft landed at 7:53 am.
The airline added that efforts were made to minimise inconvenience to passengers, including providing refreshments and regular updates throughout the process.
Security agencies have not reported any further details on the nature of the threat, and investigations are ongoing.
