“The intruders after cutting the fence of Indian side moved about 500 meters into this side at about 01:30 am on intervening night of October 3 and 4,” sources said, adding the militants were using some sophisticated device to cut the fence.

The group after being challenged by the troops opened indiscriminate fire ensuing gun battle which resulted in death of three militants, the official said.

A senior Army official while confirming the death of three infiltrators in Keran Sector told GNS that they recovered three militant bodies along with one AK-47, one AK 74 rifle, one magazine, four pistols, one Yeasu set and three bags with warlike stores.

“The body of third militant is observed to be lying just across the LoC along Kilpara Nar,” the official said, adding that search operation in the area is still in progress.
