M Y Tarigami

CPI (m) leader and Kulgam legislator MY Tarigami Tuesday urged CM Mehbooba Mufti to initiate a process of sustainable and credible dialogue on Kashmir issue for the development of trust in people.

Tarigami was speaking in the lower house of the assembly during the debate on Kashmir uprising.

He said, “We need a permanent solution or the situation like this can erupt again.”

Underscoring his meet with Prime Minister he said, “I told him there is anger in the minds of people and despite knowing that they will receive bullet or pellet by their act they don’t hesitate to pick up stones or guns,” Tarigimi said.

He stated that politicians are no more trusted by the people of Kashmir.

Tarigami stated: “For peace politicians have to learn a lesson.”

He also urged the house to lay stress on the union government so that an investigation is started, impartially, that should be headed by retired judge of Supreme Court.

Recalling the pellet gun havoc in the valley, he said that if we really want to give people something on new-year let it be “ban on pellet guns.”
