Injured at DGP’s residence, cop succumbs

A policeman, who shot himself with his service rifle outside the residence of the Director General of Police (DGP) in Jammu, day before, died on Tuesday.

A security guard identified as Subash Chander, who was posted at the residence of Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh sustained serious injurious after he shot himself with his service rifle on Monday. He was later rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for the treatment where he was being treated.

However, the policeman succumbed to injuries today morning, reports claimed. Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the case and further investigation are going on.
