Mirwaiz saddened over Hurriyat leader’s killing in south Kashmir


Reacting to the killing of a Huriyat leader Hafizullah Mir, senior separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday expressed shock over the killing of a leader.

Taking to his twitter handle, Mirwaiz wrote: Shocked and deeply saddened by the killing of resistance leader Hafizullah Mir of Anantnag released from jail after two years,who was being repeatedly threatened for past one month! In the meanwhile Indian forces pumped bullets onto protesting civilians in Nandigam Shopian not…”

Tehree-e-Hurriyat district President Islamabad Hafeez Mir, Mir was killed on November 20, 2018 by unknown gunmen outside his residence in Budoru Achabal area of Islamabad district.

While reacting to the encounter in Nadigam Shopian which ended with the killing of four militants and a Para commmondo, while many civilians were injured including females, Mirwaiz wrote: “even sparing young girls three of who have critical bullet wounds! Persecution of leadership continues as Yasin Sahab is again arbitrarily detained !,” Mirwaiz wrote on another tweet.

He also said that persecution of leadership continues, as JKLF cheif Yasin Malik has again been arbitrarily detained.

The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Hafizullah Mir was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Budroo Achabal area of Islamabad district. In the incident, Mir’s wife was also injured.
