One person died and eleven others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley. A police statement here said on Sunday.

A 55 year old lady Raja wife of Abdul Gani resident of Kakapora who was injured on 04.01.2013, succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar.

An accident took place on Highway near Barsoo, Awantipora, in the jurisdiction of police station Awantipora between a Truck bearing registration number JK03/8425 and a Tavera bearing registration number JK01B/0238, resulting in injuries to eight persons. All the injured were shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar for treatment.

A police statement said that an Alto Car bearing registration number JK04B/1308 on way from Srinagar to Baramulla hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Faizan Mir age 11 years, son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Dangiwacha at Highway near Choor crossing, Sopore, in the jurisdiction of police station Tarzoo. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.

 An Enova bearing registration number DL3C8D/1097 collided with a Quails bearing registration number JK01B/1171 at Kunzer, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to Ashiq Ahmad Naqeeb, 22 years, son of Abdul Gaffar Naqeeb resident of Chanpora, Gonipora, Kunzer who was travelling in the Quails. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.

A Tipper bearing registration number JK01G/9002 hit and injured Kifayat Nath, 20 years, son of Mohammad Akbar resident of Nowgam, Srinagar at Bus Stand, Nowgam, Bandipora. The injured was shifted to JVC, Srinagar for treatment.
