The Indian Army on Sunday said that Pakistani troops violated ceasefire early morning by firing mortar shells towards their posts in Uri sector near the Line of Control. “They (Pakistan army) started firing mortar shells towards our posts at Churunda village in Uri sector around 3.15 am,” an Army spokesman said.

The Pakistani army, however, claimed that it was the Indian troops which raided their military post killing one of their soldiers and injuring another.

In contrast, the Army spokesperson said that they fired at the Pakistani troops because some of the shells shot by them landed close to civilians. He, further, added that after the Indian Army retaliated it was been quiet from both the sides.
