Authorities have blocked the internet services in Jammu Friday morning.
Sources said that the District Commissioner Jammu issued an order in this regard and the internet services have been blocked in the summer capital to maintain law and order.
Pertinently, a Sikh youth was killed in Jammu Thursday after protests erupted against removal of banners showcasing Sikh militant leader, Jarnail Singh Bindrawala.
“In view of the tense situation in Jammu district on account of law and order disturbances, you are requested to immediately stop the internet servicesprovided by you, both on land line and mobile network,” reads the order issued by DC to Aircel, Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone and Idea service providers.
