SRINAGAR: An intruder was shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the RS Pura area of Jammu district on Saturday morning.
Officials said that during the intervening night of April 4 and 5, suspicious movement was observed by the BSF near the fence in RS Pura.
The intruder was challenged; however, there was no response, following which a few gunshots were fired towards the suspicious spot.
Early in the morning, the BSF informed the police, and a team of police reached the spot and took the dead body into their custody for medico-legal formalities. (GNS)
