SRINAGAR: Two people were injured in twin road accidents in Awantipora and Sumbal on Saturday.
Officials said that a bus bearing registration number JK01AA0343 and an Alto car bearing registration number JK03M6048 collided with each other near Ziyarat Shareef, Awantipora.
In this incident, the driver of the Alto, namely Umer Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Reshi, resident of Pahalgam, was injured.
He was shifted to PHC Awantipora, where doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for further treatment.
Similarly, a motorcyclist was injured in a road accident near the Shivlat Sumbal area. He has been identified as Danish Ahmad Ganie, son of Mohammad Ramzan, resident of Kunan Bandipora.
He was shifted to CHC Sumbal, from where he was referred to a Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment. (GNS)
