SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir-born 2017-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikrant Bhushan has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB), Panchkula, following an order issued by the Haryana Government on September 5.
A Haryana-cadre IPS officer, Bhushan has held several policing assignments in the state, including SP of Sirsa and Mahendergarh and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jhajjar.
Prior to his latest posting, he served as SP, Special Task Force (STF), Haryana.
According to the official IPS civil list, Bhushan is a 2017-batch officer of the Haryana cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and entered the IPS through the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
His posting to the HSNCB comes amid a series of transfers and postings in the Haryana Police. The bureau is responsible for enforcement and coordination of measures to tackle narcotics-related offences in the state.
