SRINAGAR: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain fully open for the movement of all commercial vessels for the duration of the ceasefire.

In a post on X, Araghchi said the passage through the strategic waterway would operate normally under a coordinated route already outlined by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organisation, in line with the ceasefire arrangement in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump also stated on social media that the Strait of Hormuz is “fully open” and accessible for maritime traffic.
Earlier, Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon and said efforts were underway to facilitate a first-ever meeting between the leaders of the two countries.
