Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is not filing the nomination papers for the by-poll to Islamabad Assembly constituency today, sources said. The by-polls are scheduled to be held in the month of June, 2016.
Last date for filing of nominations is June 1 while the scrutiny of papers will be conducted the next day. The candidates can withdraw their nominations till June 4.
The seat has fallen vacant due to demise of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, former Chief Minister on January 7 at AIIMS, New Delhi.
