Islamabad shuts against forces ‘highhandedness’

A complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town of southern Kashmir on Saturday against ‘force’s highhandedness’.

Many youth were arrested in the town yesterday after clashes erupted between protesters and forces.

However, most of the arrested youth were released yesterday evening.

Locals alleged that forces resorted to vandalism during clashes resulting in the damage to their properties.

All shops and business establishments are closed while as public transport is off the roads, local sources said.
