Despite restrictions, Qazi Ahmed Yasir on Monday led thousands of devotees in Islamabad in a celebration march on Eid-e- Milad.
A statement issued by Uamat-e-Islami said the police had warned Yasir against the march and had raided gis residence as well forcing the cleric to go underground.
The statement said the Milad procession covered almost 12 kms passing through several areas in and around Islamabad town.
Qazi Yasir told people that they should exhibit unity. “Without coming united against all the forces that are trying to divide us, we will not achieve any goal,” Yasir was quoted saying by the statement issued by his party.
