A minor girl died while nineteen others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
In Sopore, an Auto bearing registration number JK05C-9440 hit and injured a minor girl namely Seerat Bilal daughter of Bilal Ahmad Ahanger resident of Khushal Colony Sopore at Bypass near Tulibal Bridge in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. Sopore police has registered a case in this regard.
In Baramulla, a bus bearing registration number JK02-7673 turned turtle near Kripalpora Paeen National Highway in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, resulting in injuries to nine persons. All the injured persons were shifted to JVC hospital for treatment where from five of the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Pattan police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05-9901 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Mukhti Begum at Chakloo in the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment where from she was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.
In Islamabad, a Tavera bearing registration number JK03E-5972 driven by Abdul Hamid Chopan resident of Sunbrari turned turtle near Buchoo in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kokernag, resulting in injuries to the driver and three passengers boarding the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment. Islamabad police has registered a case in this regard.
In Awantipora, a vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-1681 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Rafia Ismail resident of Monghama at Bus Stand Tral in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tral. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment where from she was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Awantipora police has registered a case in this regard.
In Shopian, a motorcycle driven by Shahzad Ahmad Koka resident of Melhura met with an accident at Melhura in the jurisdiction of Police Station Zainapora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and two pillion mates namely Abid Ahmad Koka resident of Melhura and Abdul Rashid Dar resident of Vandna. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment where from they were shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for further treatment. Shopian police has registered a case in this regard.
In Kupwara, a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK09A-4905 driven by Ghulam Mustafa Bhat resident of Panzgam hit and injured a pedestrian Rouf Ahmad Peer resident of Kabamarg at Hayen in the jurisdiction of Police Station Trehgam. The injured was shifted to Trehgam Hospital for treatment where from he was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for further treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard.
