Employees of the All J&K PHE ITI Workers Association staged a protest rally here at Press colony Tuesday demanding regularization of their workers.

Holding protests, Reyaz Ahmad Khan, spokesperson of the association warned that their organisation will intensify the agitation if their demands were not met before Eid-Ul-Fitr.

“We have been employed as casual labourers in 2005 on the promise by then PDP-Congress coalition government that we would be regularized within five years but nothing happened till now,” the protestors said. “If govt doesn’t fulfil our demands before Eid, we will intensify our program.”

The protesters carried banners and shouted slogans against the current PDP-BJP govt led by Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Syed.
