Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora on Tuesday expressed deep shock over the untimely death of Dr Arif Qazi, In-charge Head Department of Arabic Language and Literature.
Dr Qazi was battling with cancer for last few weeks.
Dr Qazi’s Namaz e Janaza will be held at his residence near Sangeen Darwaza Hawal at 11:00 am today followed by a condolence meeting at 12:30 in IUST campus.
Vice Chancellor IUST Professor Mushtaq Siddiqi has expressed heartfelt condolences over his death and called it a huge loss for the university.
Dr Qazi was a well-known scholar of Arabic Language with a number of international and national publications to his credit.
