A landslide on Tuesday blocked Srinagar-Jammu highway on Tuesday, halting the movement of traffic.
There were fresh landslides at Magarkote, area on Srinagar-Jammu highway due to which the traffic movement was suspended for some time, “we have cleared the road now and soon the traffic will be plying from both the sides till 6:00 pm,” an official from the traffic department said.
He said initially, only one-way traffic was allowed in the area where landslides had occurred.
Reports said that traffic movement was halted after a portion of a hill caved in and blocked the road.
